The UK Independence Party has welcomed the election of Paul Nuttall as a Euro MP for the North West. At 32, Paul is the party’s youngest MEP and he now off to Brussels to help the party in its fight to get Britain out of the European Union.

Paul, who is the party chairman, managed to pull of the biggest percentage rise in support of any of the parties in the region, with a 3.7% swing to UKIP to grab third place behind Conservative and Labour.

“ I am delighted to have been elected and I want to personally thank the people of the North West for their support and encouragement.

“I will stand up for their rights in the European Parliament while continuing our campaign to free Britain from the stranglehold of the EU. It is a big responsibility but one I am happy to shoulder and I will always be available to try to help my constituents,” said Mr Nuttall.
